A family-centered response

No family should have to hold the system together alone.

OSPREY is an early-stage 501(c)(3) nonprofit developing a family navigation and coordination model to help youth survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their families navigate critical handoffs with greater clarity and continuity.

ClarityConnectionContinuity
01Our mission

Make the path after childhood sexual abuse clearer, more connected, and more continuous for survivors and families.

02Why it matters

The problem OSPREY is examining

Access to individual services does not always create a coordinated journey.

Without Continuity

The family becomes the default coordinator.

Important work may be happening within individual organizations while the transitions between them remain unclear. The family can become responsible for identifying the next step, carrying information across boundaries, and noticing when a handoff has failed.

03Our emerging approach

The intended path

Five commitments organize the emerging model.

Commitment 01 of 05Clarity before complexity
01

Orient

Clarify the immediate next step.

Provide a manageable orientation to the current situation, OSPREY's role and limits, the most immediate priorities, and the first accepted action. The goal is clarity without overwhelming the family with the entire system at once.

04Safety, Prevention, and Reform

Navigation is the starting point, not the limit of the mission.

Current starting pointNavigation
01

Safety

Build safeguarding, privacy, informed choice, responsible boundaries, and continuity into the operating model from the beginning.

02

Prevention

Learn from recurring gaps and failed connections so communities and institutions can identify avoidable breakdowns earlier and build clearer pathways.

03

Reform

Translate responsible operating experience, family perspective, and evidence into practical improvements in how organizations coordinate and remain accountable across boundaries.

05Technology in service of continuity

Introducing Waypoint

Continuity should outlast any single handoff.

Waypoint is OSPREY's working concept for preserving the shared context that can disappear when people, providers, or circumstances change. It is intended to help a family's path resume without requiring them to reconstruct it from the beginning. No public platform or family-facing service is currently active.
